NCBAC is made up of Barbadian Canadian organizations across Canada, from Coast to coast. Annually, there were conferences hosted in rotating cities of Canada. Volunteers in the organization acquire opportunities to develop personal and other skills through the use of technology, workshop facilitation, presentation, public speaking, mentorship, leadership, management of a virtual office, and networking to name a few.

NCBAC Mandate:

1. To provide a forum for communication among Barbadian, Caribbean, and other communities in Canada

2. To cooperate with other organizations with similar goals around education, culture, and recreation

3. To recognize the contributions of Canadians of Barbadian heritage

4. This is done through the delivery of programs and projects, informed by meaningful dialogue and geared to serve

The National Council of Barbadian Associations in Canada (NCBAC) Conference “Our Past, Present, and Future” is being held in Winnipeg on November 18-20, 2022 in coordination with BAW’s annual Independence and Scholarship Awards Gala. The cost is $100 per attendee for the entire conference including the Gala ($70). Youths under 30 years may register at a cost of $45/youth. There will be accommodation and meal subsidies for some seniors and non-seniors to assist with their participation.

A welcome reception is planned for Friday, November 18th, 2022, 6 PM-7:30 PM, followed by a Saturday morning, November 19, 2022 breakfast and three presentations and with group interactions led by three noteworthy Manitobans on Saturday, November 19, 2022, on leadership, mentorship and volunteerism virtually and in person. BAW’s Annual Gala on Saturday evening, commencing at 6:00 PM. will include an in-person address by H.E. Gline Clarke.

Prizes and music will be offered for your enjoyment. An NCBAC’s Annual General Meeting will be conducted in the morning of Sunday, November 20th in person and virtually.
